FAQs
How do I order my custom jewelry?
To place an order, or just to discuss your design ideas and
pricing, fill out the form on the Ordering page. I will
call you at a time that is convenient for you. You may
also call me, but I don't have a toll free number. I have
found that I can get a much clearer picture of what my customers
want by speaking to them rather than trying to communicate
through email.
Why can't I order my jewelry from the website?
You can order the items on the website, but there are so many
different options available, such as you may want the colors
different, a different style of earrings like lever backs, a
different chain style, etc., there are too many options
available to be able to put them all on the website. If
you order the items from the Custom Jewelry page, you will
receive them exactly as they they are shown.
How does the custom jewelry process work?
I will have a free phone consultation with you so we can discuss
your ideas for your jewelry. You can send me photos of something
you have or have seen online or even a sketch. I have so many different types of
stones and components in stock, I couldn't list them all on my
website, so if you want something completely different from what
you see on my Custom Jewelry Designs page, just ask! I
will also give you pricing information and let you know what
kind of timeline your jewelry will take. I will email you
a written quote before making your jewelry.
If you are ordering multiple sets, I will design the first
set and send you a photo of it. If it meets with your
approval, I will send you a PayPal invoice and after receiving
payment I will ship the first item to you so you can see the
quality and workmanship that will go into the other jewelry in
your order. Once you give me the go ahead, I will create
the rest of your jewelry and send you the final PayPal invoice.
If for any reason you aren't happy with the jewelry you
receive, you can send it back for a full refund.
Can I order my jewelry in gold instead of silver?
I design most of my jewelry in solid sterling silver because
most of the fancy chains and components I use are not available
in 14K gold filled. I typically only work in sterling
silver and 14K gold filled, but there are many components
available in other materials such as antiqued brass and gold
plated which will not last as long and may cause problems for
people with metal allergies. If you have your heart set on
gold, I can get these items or direct you to several websites where
you may find them.
Can I purchase my own crystals or other components I want in
my jewelry?
Absolutely! If there is something you've seen at you
local bead shop or you already have some part of the jewelry you
want designed, you can send it to me to incorporate into your
design.
How long does it take to get my jewelry?
Typically, if I have all of the components in stock, I should
have your jewelry made within a week and I ship priority
mail which takes about three days. If I need to order part of
your components, it could take up to two weeks to have your
jewelry ready to be shipped. Remember, each piece of
jewelry is custom made for you!
What kind of warranty is on my jewelry?
I take great care when making my jewelry to make sure all
links are secure and strong. I offer a one year warranty
against breakage. The written warranty will be shipped
with your jewelry. If a piece of jewelry breaks within one
year, just send it back to me and I will repair or replace it
free of charge. I cannot replace jewelry that has been
lost, so you will need to have at least part of it to send back
to me.
